About me

I am a Master of Social Work and a psychotherapist with a degree in cybernetics and systems therapy. I completed my undergraduate and master’s studies in social work at the Faculty of Social Work in Ljubljana, and I upgraded my professional knowledge with psychotherapy education at the School of Cybernetics and Systems Therapy, which operates in Zagreb and is headquartered in Rijeka.

My therapeutic practice is intended for individuals of all ages and life stages who are facing personal or emotional difficulties, relationship problems or important life issues and are looking for a safe space for understanding, support and change.

I base my work on a systemic and cybernetics approach, in which I focus on a quality therapeutic relationship. I value a safe, respectful and human therapeutic space in which the individual can express themselves at their own pace. I believe that change happens in a relationship – with a sense of acceptance, clear boundaries and a compassionate presence. In the therapeutic process, we explore experiences, relationships and inner resources together and strengthen self-confidence, inner stability and a sense of self-worth.

My work is guided by empathy, genuine presence and active listening. I love encouraging and supporting individuals in recognizing their potential and in finding ways to connect more with themselves, their needs and goals. The goal of therapeutic work is a better understanding of themselves, greater inner stability and support in dealing with life’s challenges and changes.

An important part of my professional and personal identity is sport. I have been a professional athlete for 22 years and am a member of the Slovenian national team. I have competed in the 100m hurdles for most of my sports career. I am a multiple national indoor and outdoor champion and a participant in the 2022 European Championships in Munich and the 2023 European Indoor Championships in Istanbul.

Working with athletes is particularly satisfying and inspiring, as I understand very well the demands of top-level sport – the pressures, expectations, working with the body, dealing with injuries and inner doubts that accompany the competitive path. In my psychotherapy work with athletes, I focus on strengthening self-confidence, motivation, mental stability and support in facing competitive and life challenges.
